Step by step math solver
Most solvers either dump the answer or hide the steps behind a paywall. Here the steps are the product. Each one is a single move (subtract 7 from both sides, apply the chain rule) with a one-line "why" you can open. Steps appear one at a time so you can guess the next move before you see it, and Practice mode lets you type your guess and have it checked against the step first.

How to get the most out of it
- Type the problem or take a photo. LaTeX and plain text both work.
- Read the steps as they appear. Cover the next one and try to predict it.
- Open "Why this step?" on any line that is not obvious.
- Compare the boxed answer with yours. If they differ, find the first step where you diverge.

FAQ
How does Practice mode work?
Turn on "Practice mode" on the board. Before each step is revealed you get a box to write your own next line. Press Check: if it matches the step you see "Correct"; if it is the same numbers in a different form you see "Close"; otherwise it shows your line next to the board's line so you can spot the difference. Press "Show the step" to skip. Nothing is sent to the server and it never uses a free solve.
Why do steps appear one at a time?
Because reading a finished solution is passive. A short delay between steps gives you a moment to predict the next move, which is where learning happens. It is only a few hundred milliseconds per step.
Can I see a different method?
Yes, with Plus. "Another method" solves the same problem a second way where one exists: factoring vs the quadratic formula, substitution vs elimination, u-substitution vs direct antiderivative.
Can I save the steps?
Copy them as text for free, or save the board as an image with Plus.
